A cancer lab, run out of a fourteen-year-old's notebook.
Luella Labs is a youth-led BioTech × AI collective compressing the loop between an idea and a validated readout in oncology. We're starting with the patients everyone else has already run out of options for.
What follows isn't a pitch deck. It's four scenes from the year this lab started existing.
Four Scenes
A grandmother in a puffer jacket sets a folder on the front desk. Inside is a diagnosis her daughter translated for her, one word at a time, on the bus ride over. The fourteen-year-old behind the desk — clinical admin, weekend shift — hands back the intake form and starts a second notebook. Not the clinic's. Her own. This is where Luella Labs begins.
The frontier of oncology is worthless if it never reaches the person in the waiting room. Our first customer is her.
Our mission is narrow on purpose: shorten the distance between a good idea in oncology and a validated readout — and keep the door open for the next kid who walks in with a notebook.
The Resistance Protocol
Our lead candidate targets a specific bypass mechanism in drug-resistant melanoma and glioblastoma. By integrating AI-guided molecular dynamics with rigorous wet-lab validation, we're compressing early discovery cycles.

For the Next Generation
We don't just research; we mentor. Our student seminars and matching programs provide the infrastructure for young scientists to do real-world wet-lab and computational work.
